Campaign Manager

Suzanne Ness is proud to welcome Kate Norten as Campaign Manager for the 2026 re-election campaign.

A lifelong advocate for community engagement and service, Kate brings a collaborative leadership style and a deep commitment to building meaningful relationships throughout District 66. Her experience connecting people, organizations, and local institutions reflects the same values that have guided Suzanne’s public service: listening, serving, and delivering results.

Kate earned her Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary in 2022 and has dedicated her career to strengthening communities through service and partnership. As the former Connections Director at Hope Evangelical Covenant Church in Crystal Lake, she worked to bring people together, foster volunteer engagement, and develop programs that made a lasting impact.

Her commitment to community extends beyond the church. Kate has played an active role in coordinating partnerships between local churches and schools throughout Crystal Lake and serves on the planning team for the annual Crystal Lake District 47 Resource Fair, helping connect families with valuable educational and community resources.

Kate and her husband, Josh, call Crystal Lake home, where they have raised their two adult children. She understands the priorities that matter most to local families and is passionate about helping build a stronger future for the communities of District 66.

Whether organizing volunteers, meeting with community members, or helping share Suzanne’s vision for the future, Kate is committed to ensuring every voter has the opportunity to connect with the campaign.

“Kate’s passion for serving others, her ability to bring people together, and her deep roots in our community make her the perfect person to lead our campaign. I’m excited to have her on our team as we continue working to deliver results for the people of District 66.”
