Audre Lorde, a powerful and radical thinker, described herself as “Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet.” in one of her most famous writings, Coal. She was equally as talented of a poet as she was a fierce activist, addressing injustices of racism, homophobia, classism, capitalism and sexism. She was central in many movements; second wave feminism, civil rights and Black cultural movements, and gay rights. Lorde reminds us of what it means to be passionate and inspires us to consistently work towards making the world a better place #Pride
