“I’ve been reflecting on my first term in the General Assembly and all of the experiences I’ve had in the past 22 months in office. I have met so many individuals and have learned about a variety of topics that impact the lives of many people.
The weight of responsibility that comes with this role has gotten a little lighter over time – I’ve gotten used to being in this role and have learned how to be of assistance and help to people along the way.
I’ve also been reflecting on the fact that I’ve now been in elected office for the last 4 years, running for office the last 5. I’m no longer new to “this.” The reasons that compelled me to run in the first place, remain as important to me now as they did then.
I’m honored to represent the people of District 66 in Illinois. Let’s keep this momentum!”
